In-Home Care Support

Why In-Home Care Matters

For many older adults, remaining at home can provide a sense of familiarity, comfort, and control. Aging in place can allow individuals to continue participating in the routines and relationships that are meaningful to them while receiving the assistance they need.

Research on home- and community-based interventions has found potential benefits in areas such as social connection, social engagement, independence, mobility, and overall well-being, although the results differ depending on the type of intervention provided.

Research has also found that home-based interventions can help address loneliness and social isolation among older adults. A systematic review found improvements in social connectedness and reductions in loneliness and depressive symptoms among participants receiving home-based interventions.

At YCIOP, we believe good senior home care is not simply about completing household tasks. It is about having someone there to offer a helping hand, meaningful companionship, encouragement, and respectful assistance while helping each person maintain as much independence as possible.
